Yamacraw Research Assistants Needed Immediately for the Fall
Semester
(and beyond)
The Yamacraw Project is a new
initiative by the State of Georgia "to foster development of a cluster of
businesses involved in high-bandwidth communications." (See http://www.gcatt.gatech.edu/yamacraw.) This project’s technological focus is
embedded-systems.
The SPSU Computer Science Department
has recently received a research grant related to the Yamacraw Project. SPSU’s
major research emphasis will be software engineering related to
embedded-systems. The research effort will be conducted jointly with Georgia
Tech.
There are several appointments
available for qualified graduate students to work on the Yamacraw Project,
starting this fall. The appointments will require 16-20 hours a week effort.
Applicants must be full-time students. Compensation is very attractive and
benefits include tuition remission.
If you are interested in a research
position in the software engineering of embedded-systems, please complete an
application in the CS department office and submit your resume.
Further information can be obtained
from Dr. Jorge Diaz-Herrera, CS Department Head, or from Dr. Venu Dasigi, Dr. John Rupf, or Prof.
